VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers make up the backbone of SSI. We could not accomplish the many ministries the Lord has called us to without the steadfast dedication of our hundreds of volunteers who give so generously of their time each year! If you would like to get involved, here are a number of ways you can help throughout the year:
LEAD Summer Camp
There are many opportunities to volunteer at LEAD. You can be an expert coach for one of our many advanced tracks, role-play as a lobbyist or Chair for our mock committee meetings at the Capitol or as a witness for our Mock Trial track, drive a bus, and more! We also are in need of Chaperones (parents) and Aides-de-Camp (college-age alumni) to help staff each week of LEAD. To learn more about the roles of Chaperone and Aide-de-Camp, click here. Promote
Your help in promoting SSI’s programs is critical to our success! Click here to share promotional videos and request or download brochures and posters.
SSI on the Road
James Muffett speaks to a wide variety of audiences, including churches, civic groups, schools and homeschool groups, and conferences across Michigan. Click here to learn more about bringing James to speak to your group!
SSI Onsites
The Onsite program brings our week-long summer camp LEAD to schools, homeschool groups, and youth groups during the school year in a shortened 2-3 day format. The Onsite Program is available on your time frame, at your location, and customized for your group. Consider hosting an Onsite or volunteering as an expert lobbyist for a mock committee meeting. Church Liaisons
Serve as the connection between your church and our programs! As a Church Liaison, you would help us partner with your church to bring our life-changing program to your congregation and youth. This can involving speaking at your church or small group, arranging for an SSI staff member to speak, distributing brochures and posting flyers, and more. Learn more here!
Pray for SSI
We would not be where we are without regular heartfelt prayers! Sign up for email updates to receive ministry prayer requests and stay up-to-date on what is happening at SSI.
Other Ways to Help
Office Volunteers: From general office work to preparing mailings or making phone calls, your help—virtual or in-person—is greatly appreciated!
Events: Volunteer opportunities at SSI events include the annual banquet, speaking engagements, conferences and more.
