Winter Retreat
When: January 26-28, 2024 (Starts at 7pm on Friday and ends at 2pm on Sunday)
What: A time of fellowship with the SSI Community and teaching with the amazing Anthony Weber
Where: Michindoh Conference Center (4545 E Bacon Rd, Hillsdale, MI 49242)
Who: Anyone 18 and older is welcome to attend
Cost: $135.50 for a normal cabin registration. $180.50 for hotel registration. Registrations must be received by January 8th.
A “Normal Cabin Registration” covers housing in a shared cabin (13-27 person capacity). The “Hotel Registration” covers housing in a private room. There is a limited number of Michindoh hotel rooms available, so hotel registration is first-come, first-served. If you wish to share a hotel room with a specific person, be sure to include that person in the roommate request field.

Anthony Weber
Pastor and Teacher – Northwestern Michigan College
In addition to being a pastor for the past 18 years, Anthony Weber was an English, Logic, and Comparative Worldviews teacher at Traverse City Christian school from 1997 until 2017. He currently teaches a Contemporary Ethical Dilemmas class at Northwestern Michigan College along with his pastoral work.
A lot of Anthony’s life revolves around seeking to engage a wide variety of people in conversation that is bold, honest, and true when it comes to issues of life: God, morality, politics, the church, etc. Anthony blogs on worldview and church issues at empiresandmangers.blogspot.com; he podcasts with two other friends at Breaking the Surface (on Spotify, Pocket Casts, Radio Public, and Google Podcasts)
Hobbies: napping, drinking coffee, writing, reading, and ineffectively trying to avoid arguments on Facebook.
Anthony married up, as everyone in his life will attest. He and wife, Sheila, have been married 32 years and have three boys: AJ (26), Braden (22), and Vincent (16).
