James Muffett, Founder and President of Student Statesmanship Institute (SSI), and sister organization Citizens for Traditional Values (CTV), has been an active participant in Michigan’s public arena for over 25 years. Married to Margot since 1979, father of 5, former pastor, nationally recognized spokesperson for traditional family values in Michigan, statewide organizational leader, and passionate citizen, James brings an experienced view and vibrant vision to Michigan’s cultural landscape.

James was featured in “With God on Their Side,” a national PBS television special documenting Christian involvement in politics, and has been cited by The Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, CNN, NPR and CBN.

James has a passion for the Lord and an enthusiasm for life. He offers a clear message of hope and inspiration for people of all ages. His dynamic teaching style, humor, and depth of historical knowledge leaves a lasting impression. He speaks from the heart to reach the heart.

Tim Van Loh, the Chief Operations Officer of Student Statesmanship Institute (SSI), has both an international and domestic background in teaching, pastoring, and administration. He is also active in politics and speaks in area churches as well. As a father of two SSI alumni, he fully appreciates the benefits of how SSI can challenge and motivate students beyond what they ever imagined possible.

Tim is also a dedicated advocate of Bible memory having memorized and quoted I Peter, Hebrews, Ephesians, and over half of Proverbs in various venues across America. He also teaches Sunday School, volunteers at the Lansing City Rescue Mission, hosts Bible studies, and co-directs the men’s ministry in his local church.
