Joseph Cecil serves as the President of SSI and is an alumnus of the SSI LEAD Summer Program. Previously, he worked in the Michigan House of Respresentatives as a Legislative director and Member Advisor. He has also been privileged to work with many local and statewide campaigns. Joseph is passionate about empowering young people and equipping them to be effective leaders in their communities. He has been married to Charlie Ann since 2015 and together they are raising two dynamic boys. Outside of the office, Joseph enjoys spending time with family, collecting books that he will certainly read someday, and being an active member of his church and community.
Grace Anne Rosbury serves as the Director of Programs for the Student Statesmanship Institute where she helps to equip, empower, and engage the next generation as Ambassadors for Christ. A graduate of Calvin University with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education English and Mathematics, she enjoys finding new ways to engage and interact with both disciplines. She is actively involved with her church through volunteering as an AWANA leader, and playing viola in music ministry, and attending a small group Bible study.
New staff at SSI, long-time member of South Church and homeschool dad, Andy has a background in art, music, programming, self-defense, education and the Bible. He and his wife spent two years in Japan, and he spent 9 years in preschool. His manifold interests also include acting, reading, games, and classic cars. In 2021, Natalie first attended LEAD as an uncertain camper, and since then, she has loved every minute spent doing anything to do with SSI, especially if it was related to moot court. From coming to LEAD as a crew member to joining SSI staff recently, she has desired to help equip young people for the futures that God has planned for them.
Natalie, whose name means “born on Christmas,” was not, in fact, born on Christmas. Instead, she enjoys telling people how her name points to the One whose birthday is on Christmas, her Savior Jesus Christ.
When she has the opportunity, Natalie spends time playing her violin, baking, taking free online courses through Hillsdale College, learning about apologetics, doing puzzles, and making up words with her siblings.
