Colleges & Universities

We are blessed to partner with the following colleges and universities who have either hosted LEAD or participated in our LEAD internship opportunity!
Professor Gary Britten, Assistant Professor of Business in the Gainey School of Business has been running LEAD’s Business Track since its inception in 2005. Spring Arbor University has also sent student representatives to serve as interns during LEAD. The success of these relationships along with a generous SAU alum led to the establishment of two $20,000 scholarships ($5,000/year) for SSI alumni beginning with the 2016-2017 school year.
Cornerstone University’s campus has hosted multiple Onsite programs for SSI going back to one of our earliest ones in Grand Rapids in 2006. In 2016, Cornerstone sent a student representative to serve as an intern during LEAD.
We were blessed for over 20 years to partner with Great Lakes Christian College, which hosted the summer program (LEAD) every year but one from 1995-2018. From 2012-2017 they offered a full-tuition scholarship to one SSI alum each school year. GLCC also sent interns from their student body—often LEAD alumni!—to serve with SSI during the summer.
