LEAD News Student Portfolio

2026 LEAD News Student Portfolio

General

The Media Track is the public's view into LEAD. The content you produce will be made available online and/or used in promotional materials for LEAD. We require a great deal of hard work, dedication, commitment to deadlines, and a certain level of skill. Media is one of the most sought-after tracks, often filling up and maintaining a waiting list. For these reasons, all Media Track students are required to complete this form to complete their registration in the track.

Things you should know:

- As a Media Track student, you will be held to a high standard.

- You will be expected to function under tight deadlines and will be assigned specific daily tasks which often require research.

- The Media Track is a joint Print and Broadcast experience. You will be required to write articles for the newspaper and assist with the news broadcasts. Writing skills are key.

- Self-discipline, initiative, and enthusiasm are vital for Media Track students.
